Our timeline covers HIAS' work and events in the FSU and around the world during the Soviet Jewry Movement, which spanned 1967 to the present day. Just click on a decade in the above menu to learn more.
You too can contribute to this history, by recording your experiences and contributing memoirs, stories, anecdotes, photos, or artwork related to your emigration from the former Soviet Union or arrival in America. Or, you can honor family members and commemorate those who brought you out of the USSR, but who no longer are with us.
Your memories, first-hand knowledge of events, and reflections on those years will add new information and insights to the history of Russian Jews for our children, grandchildren, and future generations.
